Original artwork description:

When I study and recompose a complex scene like this, the light dissolves into many fragments, held together by a single direction, and in this case also by an intention of movement. Two horses running towards the light, a disruptive movement of escape from the darkness. Towards the light with an overwhelming force, such as to modify the shape and space.

Studying the dynamism of animals is becoming more and more interesting. Not only as regards the pictorial rendering but also my pictorial approach, which is becoming more precise and essential. For a long time I have wanted to paint horses in motion, I will soon take up the subject with more important measures.

The canvas measures 50 x 70 cm and is painted in oil on canvas. Made between 2020 and 2021, it is signed on the front and back. It is shipped already framed, carefully packed in several layers of bubble wrap and in a wooden box

Materials used:

oil
