I'M OFFERING THE COLLECTOR WHO TAKES IT HOME, TO CUSTOMIZE THE FINISHING (YOU CAN SEE SOME EXAMPLES AVAILABLE HERE: gold, silver, copper, spray paint, glitter, nail polish... The finishing on the photos is acrylic on acrylic glass on top, also available).
This is part of the "People" series, inspired on a series of photographs I usually take when I see loads of people together in masses during their everyday routines. In this particular case, I got inspired on several photos I took at the Oculus Station in New York at the World Trade Centre, when visited the city for the Affordable Art Fair there in March 2018.
These images awake in me the need of looking at things from another point of view: I’m not the only one living a life, I’m not the only one experiencing whatever I’m experiencing in a particular moment. While we tend to live individually or in couples or even in families, there is a lot more outside… Loads of parallel lives, loads of different points of view. The level of detail is outstanding and it's the kind of piece you can look at for hours and you'll still find something different.
Pigment fine-liner and watercolour on DIN A1 heavy paper, and acrylic on acrylic glass. Framed on black gloss wood.
Hahnemühle archival 308gsm paper
