Original artwork description:
Painted on-site at Lyndale Park in Minneapolis. Features a trio of peony flowers in white, light "bubble gum" pink, and dark pink/magenta. The trio of flowers is accented by an opening peony bud, and surrounded by yellow-green and blue-green foliage. Painted in oil over casein paint on board. The casein paint background has a soft, matte texture which contrasts with the glossier oil. Oil paint has been applied thickly with palette knife, and the the texture of the paint enhances the shape of the flower petals.
Framed in a 1.5" wide frame with a gloss cherry finish and gold inner edge. May be purchased unframed by request.
