Signed oil on canvas painting of a vase of Inca Lilies (also called Peruvian Lily or Alstroemeria) and Peony Roses. The work has expressive gestural brush strokes in a limited palate of pinks, mauves, greens and greys with contrasting muted and vibrant tones. The artwork is painted on a square deep edge canvas and comes ready to hang. The sides are white.

The painting is inspired by the flower arrangements that my mother used to have in our home home. Inca Lilies being her cut flower of choice. The Peonies, fresh from the garden, blooming for the first time. Simply put the painting stems from a happy memory.
