Each of my oil-on-canvas works is a long search that has to respect the drying times of the colours, which starts with backgrounds of colour and then removes, digs, etches, until I find the essence of the painting, with a unique technique that I created after much experimentation.
In this painting, where oil is combined with enamels, the luminosity of the white makes the colours shine through, marked by incisions that recall our ancestral need to leave a mark. The surface, characteristic of my technique, is not as material as it might seem: if you caress the painting you will find it perfectly smooth.
