This art work is painted with artist quality oil paint (Michael Harding) has excellent colour fastness, The work is painted on a tradition gesso ground and is titled and signed on the reverse. The painting has a flat, matt, non-reflective surface and doesn't require hanging hardware.

This is part of a serious of work based on collections (animals, people, objects). Generated from direct studies of Humboldt Penguins at a sea life centre. I was interested in the "herd mentality" of us as humans and thus how I could draw parallels with anthropomorphic qualities and collective instincts/actions of communities of animals and adopt them as a suitable metaphor for how we, as humans "follow the crowd" rather than our own instincts!
