Inspired by the visiting peacock that comes to my garden frequently, I thought I would use the fabulous colours of his plumage to paint a woman in a gorgeous dress of blue and green.
I've also depicted her stepping into some Forget-me-not flowers which are growing by my front door.
I have used my favourite paper which is handmade in India.
It has a pleasing deckle edge which can be made a feature of when it is time to frame the painting.
I have used watercolour, Intense permanent water based crayons, and a little skim of chalk pastel to finish it off.
When inspiration came to me, I was simultaneously reading a book with japanese characters, hence the depiction of the woman being pale skinned with long blue-black hair.
Available unframed.
Packed carefully and sent by Tracked Delivery.
I include a Certificate of Authenticity with all my artworks.
