Words and feelings of the roses that grow all Summer and early Autumn in my mature rose garden.
Original impressionist watercolour on cold pressed acid free bockingford 425 gsm 200 lb.
I applied back washes for the background first then while the paper is wet I draw expressively with my sable hair brush the outline of the roses and then create the petals from within. I used a high pigment Japanese watercolour paint.
