Original artwork description:

"Pavey Ark & Stickle Tarn" is an impasto painting. which was created over an extended time period by building up layer upon layer of acrylic paints to achieve texture, tactility and shadow. The process involved numerous field trips to take documentary photographs as well as plein air sessions up Stickle Ghyll route. Despite its larger canvas size, the painting contains considerable fine details to capture and to create an accurate reflection of Pavey Ark and Stickle Tarn.

The painting comprises acrylic paint on canvas board, protected with a minimum of 3 coats of satin varnish. Framed with a floating black frame with a 5mm space surround.
