This still life work took a while to put together as I kept changing my mind about how to balance the composition with the tea cup which initially drew me to paint. My eventual choice to create an unusual dressing table set up was one I'm now happy with. I enjoyed balancing the delicate colours and shapes with the striking blue background.
Oil paint, linseed oil, dammar varnish, MDF, cotton, rabbit skin glue, gesso.
