Original artwork description:

Following the storms of 2015, the Patterdale valley suffered terrible damage. About a month after these storms I visited this area with my family. We were shocked by the amount of flood damage caused by the storms. However, on the day that we visited the sun shone creating a feeling of optimism. In this painting I've tried to recreate this feeling of hope following a storm.

The painting is 60cm x 30cm and is painted on stretched canvas primed with a lead ground.

Sorry this painting has now sold to a collector!
