Original artwork description:

I started with an expression...I wanted to create a face where you wondered what she was thinking...pensive, maybe a little sad? What was she thinking. Then I put her in a position where she was apparently relaxed, and yet she is waiting and looking round and holding her phone. I hoped she would provoke different stories in the viewer's mind.

She is made entirely from paper mache clay -which I make myself from paper, glue, flour etc. - and coloured powders.
