Original artwork description:

This painting is based on a landscape sketch which I made in a location called Barranco do Pisoes, near where I live near Monchique, Algarve. The autumn colours became intensified into bright reds, deep yellow and turquoise, predominantly. The painting is a square format with a circle within, though partially obscured by the foliage.
