'Path Through Silver Birch Trees' is a painting inspired by a trip to Anglesey Abbey in Cambridgeshire one late spring. I have painted a number of works from the drawings and photographs I gathered together on that day. I love our native trees and seeing sunlight filtering through leaves is always beautiful. I have just discovered lots of silver birch growing really close to my home on some nearby Woodland Trust managed land so have made that route a regular walk and I've returned to the theme for some more paintings.
This is an oil painting on a deep canvas.
It measures 40.5cms x 51cms approx.
I have painted the sides of the canvas white and added string on the back for hanging so the painting can be displayed without a frame if wished.
