Original artwork description:

This is large and detailed contemporary painting of a tree, set against a patchwork of foliage. I have tried to create a colourful and pattern-like appearance to the painting. It reminds you of a patchwork quilt. It would make a bold statement in any room.

The work is created using many layers of overlaid dots, to build up a vibrant effect. It is somewhere between impressionism and pointillism, plus my own style of introducing pattern to nature! It is painted in acrylic and varnished with a good quality UV varnish, to keep the colours strong.

It is painted on canvas. The sides are painted with a slightly textured black paint. It comes ready to hang.
