I have always enjoyed painting florals and they have been a major part of my art practice over the years. In this painting however I wanted to capture the beauty of the structure as a whole rather than concentrating on a single close-up of the flower. Although I have two Hydrangea plants in my garden it is the first time I have painted them and after exploring their beauty am sure it will not be the last.
This painting would suit a romantic, shabby chic style decor.
