Original artwork description:

A romanticised and calming landscape painted in thin oil glazes. The painting has a surrealist element to it although Julia is an expressionist artist. What is being expressed is a notion of tranquility and an inner state of being at one with oneself. Rogers called this 'self actualisation', which is not an American Dream kind of actualisation but a synchrony between one's ideal and actual self. The jades and pinks are colours which represent a healed mind.
