INSPIRATION
A painting inspired by my latest trip to Kanangra Boyd NP a few months ago. The natural beauty of the park and the play of light and colour must have provided me with a lot of inspiration for this painting. Painting in weather conditions is interesting and challenging. In this painting, I tried to capture one of nature's most beautiful phenomena, the rainbow. The rainbow is also a symbol of hope and a new beginning. The rainbow was painted using multiple glazes of paint in order to achieve its effect of luminosity and transparency.

The painting is in oil paints on linen mounting to an aluminium panel.
