This painting is inspired from a typical Malaysian scene. The outdoor night market is an enduring part of the fabric of Malaysian life. This is an attempt to capture the spirit and body language in this event. I’ve done so many more market scenes since then, capturing the moods from different angles and in different brush strokes.
The close up pictures are to get a better feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting. Then there’s me with the painting for perspective.
