Parthenope is a siren from Ancient Greece whose name means "one with a young girl's face." It is she who, accompanied by her sisters Leucosie and Ligie, attempts to seduce Odysseus and his companions. Humiliated by their ploy, the sirens throw themselves into the sea, and Parthenope ends up in Naples, of which she will become the symbol.
The canvas is varnished and equipped with a hanging system.
