What I love about this image is that the flowers are on their way out — browning is beginning and some of the petals have already fallen; I like the disarray of the bouquet which makes the whole interesting to me even though the composition is otherwise simple. Gold/orange background, glass vase, various greens in the tulip leaves and a mint green in the brocade tablecloth; then the yellow, reds and oranges of the blossoms. 28x22, framed in a dark cherry plein air (wood) frame that brings the overall dimensions to 34x26. Signed and dated on the back (and my mark on the front), this work ships with a digitally-registered Certificate of Authenticity.
