I love the night light on these two buildings, the warm and the cool opposite each other. This fish and chips shop is opposite a very distinctive red brick pub/bar and people often stumble over the road in in various states of inebriation and even drunkenness to get their fish and chips and other foods sold in the Fish Bar.
It is quiet in this painting, people drinking n the pub and the people preparing food for them when they want to eat later. The quiet before the late night rush.
It is a vignette, a moment from Welsh life.
