Original artwork description:

I saw this lovely cat whilst at the local park. She didn't seem to mind all the children running around or sharing the bench with me. I used some fancy gold fabric samples to highlight some of her fur and tried to capture the rest with acrylic paint.

I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, beads, buttons and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
