Original artwork description:

A solitary wander around Paris. Aimless, filled with joy and surprise and delight. Hours passing unnoticed under grey skies. I come across an arcade, a place of secrets. Light floods in through glass panels, works of art in themselves. The sounds echo, muffled, the hiss of a coffee machine, the scent of grinding beans. I am tempted to stay here, to enjoy the quiet a little longer. The work is rich in detail, and I have used a range of yellow and earthy hues to reflect the light of that day. A perfect gift.
Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
