Artwork description:

I have always loved printmaking from my first taste of it years ago when I was at art college. I have missed it since, but not having a press limited what I could do. I have never been able to get a nice clean print with the back of a spoon as I know some people can.
I now have a small press and am delighted once again to be printmaking. My painting is all about happy accidents and finding something by loosing some control. My printmaking allows the control freak in me full reign once again and it's fun.
The results are very different from my painting work they are the other side of the coin I guess. I hope you like them : )

This print is a linocut of butterflies, each print is made using 4 separate butterfly linocut blocks and so will vary slightly, making each a touch more unique.

Each linocut is handprinted, numbered, titled and signed.
This print is part of an edition of 30 prints.

The linocut image measures 17cm x 28cm (6.5" x 11")
Printed on 140 gm Bockingford acid free paper.

Materials used:

Bockingford Paper - 140lb, Carbon Black Caligo oil based ink,
