In this painting I was playing with colour combinations, they are spontaneous, light and loose, as if streamers and confetti were swirling around. The paint is spackled, scratched, brushed and run down - I let myself be guided by the process of painting and by my intuition during the creation of a work. Embedded in this environment is the portrait of a young woman, rendered in delicate and reduced colours that interact with the abstract background. She looks down and has a rather calm, thoughtful and confident expression on her face.
