I love these bright flowers. We call them Pansies, and their botanical name is Violet tricolor.
I have childhood memories associated with these flowers. My grandmother told me a fairy tale about these flowers. I don’t remember it exactly, but I’ll try to retell it. Here is my free paraphrase.
Once upon a time, in a vibrant garden full of various flowers, lived a cluster of Pansies. These were no ordinary Pansies; they were the most colorful, the most joyous, and the most loved flowers in the entire garden.
Each Pansy was unique, with petals in hues of purple, yellow, and white, creating a mesmerizing color palette that made the garden a sight to behold. They were admired for their resilience, standing tall and cheerful through the changing seasons.
However, the Pansies were not just beautiful to look at. They had a secret. At night, when the world was asleep and the moon was high up in the sky, the Pansies would come to life. They would uproot their stems and start their nightly dance, twirling and swaying in rhythm with the gentle breeze. Their enchanting dance would breathe life into the otherwise quiet garden.
One day a little girl found out about the Pansies' secret. She was mesmerized by their nightly dance and decided to join them. She danced with the Pansies every night, matching their rhythm, becoming a part of their joyous celebration.
When this girl grew up, she no longer remembered her dancing with flowers. But she became a florist and grew new varieties of pansies.
