A childlike woman, immersed in a fairytale time, far away in time, with her doll in her hand, reminding us of the innocence of childhood. In contrast, the mature, uninhibited woman, naked but wearing a mask, symbolising silence, impotence, physical limitation.
The time of the pandemic that forces us to stop, to restructure our lives. The pandemic that induces us to reflect, to go back to that deconstructed child who, in her infantile dimension, has yet to form. A circular cross-reference, a play of mirrors and overlapping, in a continuous reference from woman to child and vice versa, two dichotomous images that encapsulate the extraordinariness of our time. Inspired by Picasso, an authentic work executed by me in multiple editions.
