Original artwork description:

The element of Fire is associated with the power of transformation on all levels. It is the source of light and knowledge. The brightness of Fire is related to our intent/purpose, the vigour of passion, and the ability to be judicious. In nature we experience fire as the light and heat of the sun, which is a source of life, but the same heat when too strong can turn forests into deserts. It both nurtures and destroys. Fire is volatile and easily flares out of control and it is necessary to be careful with this element. Within us the element of fire is the light of knowledge, or spiritual enlightenment, a driving force which helps us live a life of purpose but that same fire if allowed to go out of balance can manifest as anger, mania, or egotism. We have playing with the destructive powers of fire for our selfish needs. We have used fire as a tool of violence. We have fought wars to rule over the world. We have burnt and tortured those who have not followed our dictates. We have used fire to end life and it is coming back to haunt us.

This series has been inspired by the 5 elements of life which form everything inside and around us and how greed and progress is destroying the balance between these elements and hence the balance between survival and extinction, life and death.

This artwork is a part of a group of 5 drawings on the theme of the 5 elements. You might want to buy this drawing as a single piece but it does create a more wholesome effect when displayed with the other 4 drawings. I will suggest that you collect all five artworks and display them together. They will surely grab a lot of attention and spark conversation. You will cherish owning them and the experience they create for you.
