Original artwork description:

The element of Earth is the most solid element in form of the five elements and the most tangible as it is more structured and consistent. It lies beneath our feet providing us a stable existence and the matter which forms the physical mass of our bodies. It epitomizes the qualities of attachment, reliability, and sustenance. The element of earth is the root which provides us a cause for existence. The earth element is the most immediate from of nature, the life around us in form of trees and animals and the world we live in consisting of plains, deserts, mountains and valleys. In our quest for progress we constantly exploit these natural resources without putting in enough effort to restore what we have destroyed. A tree cut down to build a highway is a casualty of such progress and though highways and cities are expanding, we are not making sure that the forests and glades do not disappear altogether.

This series has been inspired by the 5 elements of life which form everything inside and around us and how greed and progress is destroying the balance between these elements and hence the balance between survival and extinction, life and death.

This artwork is a part of a group of 5 drawings on the theme of the 5 elements. You might want to buy this drawing as a single piece but it does create a more wholesome effect when displayed with the other 4 drawings. I will suggest that you collect all five artworks and display them together. They will surely grab a lot of attention and spark conversation. You will cherish owning them and the experience they create for you.
