An oil on canvas inspired by southern Spain and my memory of an evening in the golden sunlight drinking a Pink Paloma.
The colours are soft pastel blues and pinks, painted with gestural movements and I sometimes allowed the layers to drip and do their thing. This painting is about the feel of a moment in time, conveyed using texture, form and colour.
Originally one of a twin - the sister painting 'Pink Paloma no.2' - was sold to a collector earlier this year.
Painted in my studio in Brighton.
