Original artwork description:

I liked this rather formal stand of palms reflected in a pond that was scattered with fallen flowers. I’ve gone for an expressive approach, maintaining loose nderpainting, with the palms drawn negatively with the light background. I’ve allowed some of the underpainting to show through faintly in the background, as a hint of further foliage, rather than rendering a realistic background.
