If you've spent any time along the American East Coast, from The Outer Banks of Carolina to the South Coast of Texas, then you have seen this. The sandy palmettos and pines that grow up to the beach. This is what holds the coast in place - what stands up to sea and storm. Beautiful, mysterious, and tough.
I put my easel in the sand and stood with my feet in the Bay, facing inland, to make this painting. Sunburned the top of my feet, but it was worth it.
8 x 10 inches, gallery wrapped canvas. 1.5 inch deep sides, painted a neutral grey all around as shown. Ready to hang just as it is, without frame. Signed on the front, lower right.
