If you've spent any time along the American east coast, from The Outer Banks of Carolina to the north coast of Texas, then you have seen this. The sandy palmettos and pines that grow right up to the beach. This is what keeps the coast where it is, what stands up to sea and storm. Beautiful, mysterious, and tough.
I put my easel in the sand and my feet in the water to make this painting, facing inland. I left late in the afternoon with two paintings and sunburned feet. The other painting I made on this same day is on my page too, on artfinder.
8 x 10 inches, gallery wrapped. 1.5 inch deep sides, painted a neutral grey all around as shown. Ready to hang just as it is, without frame. Signed on the front, lower right.
