Artwork description:

Palm Tress at Dusk, is a print based on a photograph taken in Santa Cruz, California.

I love the colours you can get at sunrise and sunset, sometimes fierce and bright but often hazier, more mellow. This print is capturing the nacreous sunset and has another of my favourite subjects, the Palm Tree.

The sea in these conditions, is usually only noticeable because it has a slight shimmer. To depict this I have used a pearlescent ink, which stands out against the matt inks used throughout the rest of the print.

This is a hand printed reduction linocut. One piece of Lino is used to print a colour, pieces are carved away with tools and then another colour is printed on top. This is repeated until the image is formed. The prints are entirely produced by hand so there are very tiny differences between each print, making each one unique.

This print is 15 cm by 20 cm, and is printed on Italian hand torn Fabriano Rosapina paper measuring 21 cm by 25 cm. It is printed using lightfast water based inks. Please note, the room view is not to scale.

The postage and packaging fees are for up to 2 prints. If you purchase more than 2 prints I will package them together, where possible and refund excess postage costs.

For the U.K. I ship Royal Mail 1st class tracked or Special Delivery depending on the value of the package.
International orders are shipped Royal Mail International tracked.

Outside the U.K. and USA local customs/duty may be incurred. These are the responsibility of the customer and outside my control.
