Painting on wooden stave, woman in gold and brown, Gold Umbel.

On a piece of barrel stave, this geisha in gold and brown holds a large gold and glitter umbel. Her headdress and costume are worked in brown with gold flower and arabesque effects.

The shape is irregular and the background is left rough with a few white pencil motifs. The bottom edge is painted in old gold.

Format 36.5 x 7.5 x 2 cm thick.

Original piece painted with acrylic and varnished, ready to hang.
