Painted whilst sitting on the sea shore - facing the other way - the alternative view. This cafe right on the promenade was just a mass of shadows and caught my eye straight away. The tree in the foreground is repeated all over greece, where the trees are always on the beach - such a lovely natural shade from the intense heat of the sun.
