Original artwork description:
Watercolour and ink painting. The fields around where I live here in Oxfordshire were flooded a few weeks ago, but in their own way quite beautiful particularly when the light reflected on the surface of the water. Walking past this field I saw the red glint of a bullfinch perching on a stem and took a photo which I later decided would make a good subject for a painting. I've used lots of wet-in-wet washes (to suit the watery mood!) ink for the trees and branches and purposefully kept it very loose and spontaneous with the bird not too obvious!
