Artwork description:

PAINTED DREAM #9, from the eponymous collection entirely realized amidst the rolling hills of Val d'Orcia, Tuscany, is an artwork that transcends the literal representation of landscape, venturing into the realm of emotions and subjective experience, capturing the very essence of a dreamscape.

The composition is deceptively simple, yet profoundly evocative. It presents a layered exploration of space, where foreground, middle ground, and background merge into a seamless whole.

Dominating the composition is a muted palette of earthy tones. Soft creams and gentle ochres blend seamlessly with hints of cool grays and the faintest touch of blues.
These colors are not applied in solid blocks, but rather appear to be brushed, blended, and layered, creating a sense of depth and atmospheric perspective.

The tones evoke the characteristic hues of the Tuscan landscape – the sun-baked earth, the hazy skies, and the distant hills – yet they are rendered through an abstract lens, focusing on the emotional resonance of these colors rather than their literal accuracy.

There is a subtle interplay between opacity and transparency, allowing underlying layers to peek through, adding complexity and intrigue to the surface.

The overall effect is one of serene beauty and quiet contemplation. For me It's a visual poem, a symphony of colors and textures that captures the ephemeral essence of a dream, an invite to explore the landscape of their own imaginations.
