Walking through the hills around my house ever happen to come across something that catches my attention. Even just a detail, at times, may be enough to trigger my imagination. This time there was a large tree trunk dry, slightly eroded by the wind, which, however, continued to cling with all his remaining forces to the side of the road, between the white and gray stones. Further down the valley opened with its rows of olive trees and plowed fields and cypress trees that adorned the ridges of the hills.

Passeggiando tra le colline intorno a casa mia capita sempre di imbattermi in qualcosa che attira la mia attenzione. Anche solo un dettaglio, certe volte, può bastare a scatenare la mia fantasia. Questa volta c'era un grande tronco albero secco, un po corroso dal vento, che però continuava ad attaccarsi con tutte le sue forze rimaste al ciglio della strada, tra le pietre bianche e grigie. Più in basso si apriva la valle con le sue file di ulivi e i campi arati e i cipressi che ornavano le creste delle colline.
