Original artwork description:

An acrylic plein air painting sketch of Padstow commercial harbour. Wanting to get away from the crowds of the picturesque beach harbour I opted for the commercial harbour and found myself a quiet corner, where I was joined by a Turnstone, busily searching for food at my feet. I loved this view with the industrial colours on a muted grey day. The bright red harbour light to guide the boats in and the reflections on the water. For me looking the otherway to the more traditional views uncover an equally epic vista. This was just over an hour to paint and I was very pleased with the result. For me boats are great to paint and draw. Painted in acrylic on waterford paper.
