This painting required a lot of restraint from me. I was dying to use all the vibrant ,bright colors that I usually use in my paintings. But the ask for this painting was muted earth tones that would go with the décor of the client's house. So I painted it bright and gave it a yellow ochre wash to tone it down ... so win-win all around.
