The market town of Stokesley lies close to the North York Moors and so I often pass it on the way to paint them. However, the town itself is also well worth a visit, particularly on a sunny autumnal day. This was painted on site looking towards the packhorse bridge which crosses the stream that runs alongside the town centre. It’s not known just how old the bridge is but records in 1630 referred to it as being in need of repair.
This work is presented double mounted ready for framing. It will be dispatched cello wrapped and carefully packaged in an appropriate strong cardboard box and sent via a tracked courier.
