This painting is one in a series that I did from 2012 to 2016 where I explored the round form, and the energy and movement it creates when a shape has no beginning and no end.

My primary influence is Southern California light and color. It's bright yet subtle, smooth and serene, but intense - it envelops you. It is a paradox. It creates a state of mind.

This 12 x 12 in., 30.48 x 30.48 cm painting has a 1-1/2 in, 3.81 cm frame which gives it heft and presence on the wall. It is ready to hang and does not need a frame. The sides are painted as part of the art.

I use Montana Gold artist's spray acrylic which has a wonderful rich finish and depth.

This painting is wrapped in tissue paper and packed with care in bubble wrap for protection and shipped in a sturdy cardboard box.
