I went to Iceland in the summer to see the family and we all went on a fantastic road trip together. We ended up at Gunnuhver near the airport, Icelandic largest geothermal mud pool. It’s constantly spewing dense, cloudy steam at a scalding 570˚F. It is unique from Iceland’s other hot springs in that it is entirely seawater, due to its proximity to the ocean. The surrounding rocks are impressive as well, coloured dazzling oranges and blues from unusual minerals. When we were there it was in full force and interestingly there were what looked liked mud colour glass amongst the mud and steam. A wonderful chemical phenomena that intrigued me. I was so impressed with the pure power mother earth displayed for us this wonderful day and I felt this urge of confidence and awe of this magical place! This painting is great to turn to a different side now and again. You’ll see different adventures
every way.
