Original artwork description:

I live in a town where I feel very close to my natural surroundings. My bedroom window looks out over a field which borders a river and is surrounded by tall trees. I sometimes hear the distinctive 'twit twoo' call of a tawny owl if I'm awake in the night.
I've never seen a tawny owl in the wild but I've seen a barn owl flying over local farmland a few times when I've been out walking. Barn owls screech, tawny owls hoot. 'Owl and Moon' is a small oil on board painting in which I've combined my owl experiences and imagined the tree tops outside my window, shadowy in the dead of night. The nocturnal wildlife lit by the moon and keeping itself busy, while I'm asleep a few yards away.

The painting measures 17 cm x 12.5 cm approx. It comes in a hand cut white mount which measures 30 cm x 21 cm approx and fits a standard off the shelf frame. Please note that I made the mount and I am not a professional framer so it is as seen.
