Over the rooftops indeed because Collamato is right on the top of a hill and you can see for miles around. I could paint any amount of paintings here because Collamato is just sooooooo inspiring. It is one of those truly sleepy Italian villages where the cat meanders across the street and everyone seems to be indoors as if the place was uninhabited except for the occaisonal loud sound of a t.v. from within. Why aren´t they outside enjoying the view?!! Then, next thing, a couple of nuns appear in their habits....You could make a movie here...time stands still.
All around there is the lovely Italian countryside. So, totally undisturbed by the inhabitants (who seem to prefer to stay indoors watching t.v), my Dad and I spent an afternoon here painting together. More Collamato paintings coming up September 2017!
