A lot of ballet is the beauty of the dancer creating clean lines with her body. In this painting the dancer is mostly shrouded in darkness, the light casting the edges into relief.
The painting is based on an incredible young dancer called Heiley Fairhurst, and is the beginning of a series of collaborations together. In all her poses she's wonderfully graceful and commanding, her physical and technical strength absolutely mesmerizing.

They are framed in solid wood custom made frames by Frames Express, painted in dark blue/grey , 55 ml thick with mount and acrylic glass.
