“Outback Waterhole" by Rod Moore
24" x 20"
Acrylic on Canvas
As a kid growing up I was terrified of the idea of a billabong because of my wild imagination dreaming up what might lurk below the surface.
Waterholes though in the outback are essential to life and survival. Recent heavy rains in North Queensland have made sure that for the time being outback waterholes are overflowing ... but I still wonder what lurks below the surface.
This painting represents my evolving style as my landscape work become less definitive and more abstracted.
Note - This painting is unframed but ready to hang with a hanging wire on the back. Please be aware that my painting style is loose and impressionistic ... as such the edges are not neatly finished as that would detract from the style and spontaneity of the painting approach.
