Original artwork description:

Palette knife and impasto painting-- a perfect match for plein air. Painted several miles west of my home.
The lighting and the moody weather (One storm was approaching as another one moved over the mountains. Gusty winds playing tricks with my easel and canvas.) enhanced the fresh feeling I sought to achieve in this work.
